Workers-students will be able to go home! Home Ministry announces new guidelines

A lockdown has been imposed in the country to combat the threat of corona virus. Many people in the country are trapped in other places due to the lockdown. These include migrant laborers, pilgrims, tourists and students. As well, the Home Ministry has announced new guidelines for those trapped. The Union Home Ministry has allowed the movement of stranded migrant laborers, tourists, students, etc. to different parts of the country.

The order issued by the Home Ministry said that all the states and Union Territories should prepare standard protocols for sending people trapped there to their home states and repatriating their citizens from other places. That is, now each region will be able to bring back its citizens trapped in other regions and send itself to its territory to the citizens of other regions trapped there.

However, those who wish to go will be screened. They will only be allowed to leave if they do not show any symptoms of Covid-19. Buses can be used for transportation of people. Once the buses are sanitized, they will accommodate people who follow the rules of social distance. No state will prevent these buses from entering its territory and allow them to pass through.

People will be checked by local health authorities upon arrival at the destination. Outsiders will not be allowed to roam and will have to stay at home in quarantine. They can also be admitted to hospitals / health centers if required. They will be checked from time to time. Such people have to use the health bridge app to monitor their health.

New Delhi: The government is taking a number of steps to provide relief to the common man in the ongoing lockdown to curb the spread of Corona virus.
 In the midst of all this, the Central Government has decided to make available all the medical facilities to the employees by June 30, 2020, despite the non-accumulation of annual lump sum contribution to the employees benefiting from the ESIC scheme. Let me tell you, the ESIC scheme benefits employees who have a monthly income of less than Rs 21,000 and who work in a company with at least 10 employees. Until the first year 2016, the monthly income limit was Rs 15,000, which was increased to Rs 21,000 from January 1, 2017.
1. All facilities will be available - ESIC has announced that the medical facilities of the employees will not be stopped even if the PUM companies are unable to collect the annual premium of the employees due to the lockdown.
2. Expire card can also be used - Employee does not need to worry if his medical card, through which he receives medical services, has expired. He will be able to get all the services on his old card. This service will continue till June 30, 2020.
3. Medicines can be taken from private medical stores - ESIC has also given the facility to employees or other beneficiaries to take medicines from private medical stores during lockdown. The employee will be able to claim the money spent with ESIC after purchasing the drug from a private medical store. Employees who run regular medications and cannot go to the hospital in a lockdown will get a lot of relief.
4. Treatment may take place in other hospitals - ESIC hospitals which have been converted to COVID-19 hospital, there is no need for the treating employee to worry. ESIC has entered into an agreement to provide medical facilities to the employees who are regularly treated in these hospitals.
5. Big relief to companies - Employees State Insurance Corporation has extended the deadline for filing premiums for the months of February and March to May 15, 2020. The decision has been taken in view of the nationwide lockdown

In Gujarat, Chief Minister Vijay Rupani held a meeting with his cabinet to discuss the purchase of tur, rye and chickpeas from farmers from May 1. 
 Apart from this, he also held discussions with the district collectors to make arrangements so that public life and especially farmers would not face any problem after the opening of the lockdown.  This information was given by CMO Secretary Ashwini Kumar in a digital press conference.

The purchase of Tuwer will start from May 
 Purchases will begin May 1 through May 5

 Gujcomasol will start buying chickpeas and rye from May 1

 The CMO secretary said there is good news for farmers.

 Tuwer will be purchased from the supply department from May 1 to 5.  A period of 90 days was fixed for this purchase.  Online registration was to be done from December 1 to January 15 in which 16,345 farmers registered.  Out of which 3881, 6514 metric tons of tur was sold.  The purchase of tuwer will resume on 103 godowns when 12467 farmers are left behind.  Purchases will begin May 1 through May 5.

It will also be necessary to follow all other rules with social distance regarding the purchase of chickpeas and rye from Gujkomosol from May.  Adequate drinking water available in the state, no problem of drinking water in summer, damaged hand pumps will be repaired and turned on

 District Collectors have been instructed to start work under MNREGA expeditiously.  Collectors have been instructed to dig the soil of the check dam and lake.  It has also been urged that all these operations be started expeditiously.

 Urgent to start any plans

 Sujalam Sufalam scheme should be started soon

 Work under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana will be started soon.

  Two and a half lakh kits were distributed in Kutch.  NFSA cardholders, BPL family has been given an additional Rs.

Wheat, rice and pulses were distributed to 66 lakh families in the first week of April.  Fall distribution to 66 lakh families.  Out of 61 lakh, 42 lakh families were provided free foodgrains.

 More than 3 crore beneficiaries were given foodgrains.  Grain was also distributed to BPL card holders.  Three and a half kg of wheat and rice were given per person.  Thirty percent have lost the amount of cheap grain.  It has been distributed to more than 45 lakh families

 Distribution of foodgrains to 68 lakh families in the third phase

 More than 50 lakh families will get foodgrains by this evening.  Grain was also distributed to foreign workers. 

 More than five and a half lakh foreigners were given food grains.  The operation was carried out by the District Collectors between 5 April and 10 April.

 Voluntary, religious, social organizations have also done well.  More than 10 lakh ration kits were distributed in the state.  4.5 lakh kits were distributed in Surat.

Rupani said that if the lockdown was abruptly lifted, the lockdown would not be abolished and would be phased out as there was a risk of the coronavirus infection spreading to new areas where it had not yet spread.
