The government is taking a number of steps to provide relief to the common man

New Delhi: The government is taking a number of steps to provide relief to the common man in the ongoing lockdown to curb the spread of Corona virus.
 In the midst of all this, the Central Government has decided to make available all the medical facilities to the employees by June 30, 2020, despite the non-accumulation of annual lump sum contribution to the employees benefiting from the ESIC scheme. Let me tell you, the ESIC scheme benefits employees who have a monthly income of less than Rs 21,000 and who work in a company with at least 10 employees. Until the first year 2016, the monthly income limit was Rs 15,000, which was increased to Rs 21,000 from January 1, 2017.
1. All facilities will be available - ESIC has announced that the medical facilities of the employees will not be stopped even if the PUM companies are unable to collect the annual premium of the employees due to the lockdown.
2. Expire card can also be used - Employee does not need to worry if his medical card, through which he receives medical services, has expired. He will be able to get all the services on his old card. This service will continue till June 30, 2020.
3. Medicines can be taken from private medical stores - ESIC has also given the facility to employees or other beneficiaries to take medicines from private medical stores during lockdown. The employee will be able to claim the money spent with ESIC after purchasing the drug from a private medical store. Employees who run regular medications and cannot go to the hospital in a lockdown will get a lot of relief.
4. Treatment may take place in other hospitals - ESIC hospitals which have been converted to COVID-19 hospital, there is no need for the treating employee to worry. ESIC has entered into an agreement to provide medical facilities to the employees who are regularly treated in these hospitals.
5. Big relief to companies - Employees State Insurance Corporation has extended the deadline for filing premiums for the months of February and March to May 15, 2020. The decision has been taken in view of the nationwide lockdown
