Golden Latte: Soup

Benefits

 Turmeric has few amazing antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties and anti-microbial and anti-allergic properties, which further help in preventing also  curing several diseases. In fact,a blend of turmeric, pepper and hot milk a day will aid you to detain infections and induce sleep during pregnancy and lactation.


Ingredients - 1 serving

  • The Milk: 250ml
  • Turmeric: two  pinch
  • Black Pepper: half  teaspoon
  • Jaggery as required 

Process of preparation

  • Firstly, in a sauce pan take one  cup milk, add 2 pinch of a turmeric, half  tsp of crushed pepper.
  • Whisk and mix nicely making sure everything is nice combined. Bring the milk to boil and finally add brown sugar or honey ½ tsp (if required).
  • Filter and serve warm.

Pro tips

  • Always utilize organic turmeric powder to avoid ingesting adulterated one.
  • Utilize pepper and turmeric together for better absorption of curcumin in the body. Great way is to have Golden latte as a bed time snack.




Ingredients - 1 serving

  • a Chukku/dry ginger - one  teaspoon
  • Black pepper corn - half  teaspoon
  • Dried or a fresh tulsi leaves - 5-6 leaves
  • Karupatti or a palm sugar - one  tablespoon
  • a Water or milk- 200 ml

Process of preparation

In water mix every the ingredients and boil till the aroma releases. Add milk if required . Filter and serve warm.

Pro tip

Utilize whole dry ginger powder instead of readymade powders.

  • It includes Gingerol. The main bioactive compound in ginger is a powerful antioxidant and anti- inflammatory effect. It is very useful in managing nausea and loss of appetite and taste and morning sickness especially in pregnancy. Restrict intake if heartburn is more in a pregnancy.

Mix Dal Vegetable Soup


Ingredients - 1 serving

  • a Masoor dal, Moong dal - three  tablespoon
  • a Toor dal- two  tablespoon
  • a Ginger- one inch
  • Clove garlic- 2 no
  • a Tomato, carrots, beetroots - 1 no (chopped)
  • a Turmeric- half  tsp
  • Salt- half  tsp
  • a Water- 2 cup
  • Pepper powder- half  tsp
  • Coriander - 2 tbsp (well chopped) for garnishing
  • Pumpkin or a sunflower seeds- one  tbsp

Process of preparation

  • In a plate , take 3 tbsp masoor dal, 3 tbsp moong dal and 2 tbsp toor dal. Rinse nicely and soak for 30 minutes.
  • Add the soaked dal, tomato, carrot, beetroot, one inch ginger, garlic, salt, turmeric to the pressure cooker, two cups of water. Cover and pressure cook for two  whistles.
  • Once cooked transfer the mixture to blender and prepare it as a smooth paste. Add half tsp pepper powder and 1½ cup water adjust consistency as needed.
  • Mix nicely and cook on a medium flame until the aroma is good absorbed. Garnish it with a chopped coriander and seeds. Serve warm.

Pro tip

While cooking vegetables it should be chopped in a huge size to avoid nutrient losses during cooking procedure.
