Eligibility Criteria: - Under this scheme all orphan children aged 0 to 18 years living in Gujarat who don't have surviving parents are going to be eligible for benefits. Children whose father has died and whose mother has remarried will need to produce a wedding certificate stating that the mother has remarried. Rate of Assistance: - Rs. 5,000 / - (Rupees Three Thousand in Numbers) are going to be paid monthly to the foster parents or close relatives caring for the orphans. Income limit: - The annual income of the foster parents should be quite Rs. 5,000 in rural areas and more than Rs. 5,000 in urban areas. Terms of the plan Beneficiaries taken by foster parents for upbringing should be placed in Anganwadi for youngsters aged 6 to eight years and compulsory schooling should be imparted to children above 3 years of age. Assistance are going to be stopped if the child's study is stopped. The certificate of the program officer of ICDS (Integrated Child Development Scheme) for the youngsters getting to Anganwadi and therefore the certificate of the principal of the varsity for the children going to school has to be submitted by 15th July every year. A certified example of the death of the child's parents must be submitted. Assistance are going to be stopped if the child's mother is remarried and therefore the child goes to measure with the mother. And the District Social Security Officer are going to be liable for payment. At each district level, the Sponsorship and Approval Committee (SFCAC) will review the recommendations and order eligible parents to pay assistance. Children who are taking advantage of the other similar state or central scheme won't be eligible for this scheme. This amount has got to be paid to the beneficiary's account by direct payment (DBT) method of account pay check. Such foster parents or approved close relatives i.e. the beneficiary will have to open a joint name account with the child in the bank / post office. An application with incomplete details will not be consider.
