The Modi government is launching new schemes every day to double the income of farmers. Under PK Kisan Y scheme, farmers are being credited Rs. 6000 per annum in farmers’ accounts.
So far 19.60 lakh farmers have registered in the pension scheme honorarium scheme launched for the country’s farmers. The government aims to connect 50 million farmers with up to 2 hectares of land for this pension scheme.
In the second phase, the government will work hard to connect 12 crore farmers with the scheme. The central government has implemented the scheme across the country. The registration process under this scheme implemented from 9th August 2019 is also currently underway. In this scheme, when the farmer reaches the age of 60, the farmer will get a pension of Rs 36,000 instead of Rs 6,000 per month.
Under this scheme, farmers will be credited a pension of Rs. 3,000 per month. Although farmers are showing less interest in the scheme, the government does not want to pay the target at any cost.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture, no fee will be charged for registration. If a farmer is availing the benefit of PM Kisan Sanman Nidhi Yojana, he will not be required to provide any document.
Farmers do not even have to pay at present if they want to avail the benefits of this scheme. If they have the option of contribution, not a single rupee will go out of the pocket of the farmer. Farmers between the ages of 18 and 40 can register for this scheme.
What is Kisan Mandhan Yojana?
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched the scheme in his second term. Under this scheme, a target has been set to benefit 5 crore marginal farmers in the next 3 years. Under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Mandhan Yojana, farmers will be given a monthly pension of Rs 3,000 after the age of 60.
The management of the funds attached to the scheme will be the responsibility of the public sector insurance company Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC). Under the scheme, farmers will have to deposit Rs 55 to Rs 200 per month. In this scheme the farmers will be credited exactly the amount from the government.
What is special about the scheme is that the money coming from other schemes under PM Kisan Yojana can also be transferred directly to this pension scheme. The facility of depositing money in the honorarium account will be at the Common Service Center.
Aadhaar card is the most useful document for this. If a farmer wants to quit the scheme, his money will not sink.
Leaving the scheme will result in a return of money equivalent to the interest paid by the banks. Even if the farmer dies for any reason, his wife will continue to get 50 per cent. LIC will manage the farmers fund. The government will deposit as much premium as the farmer pays. The minimum premium in this pension scheme is Rs 55 and the maximum premium is Rs 200.
